After a successful year of supplying 19 winches & 180 sheaves, plus over 200t of conveyor axles, wheels and wheel blocks, to a large open pit copper mine in Panama, Central America, Eilbeck Winches were engaged again to supply another winch and sheave assemblies. This time a Decant Tower Operating Winch.

This winch designed to raise / lower the gate to a Tailing Management Facility. This facility to effectively manage all the materials leftover from the process of separating the valuable fraction from the uneconomic fraction of an ore.

Eilbeck Winches successfully and excitingly won the contract amongst a tough global playing field. This was based on offering the client a high quality product, built meeting all client specifications and the ability to perform a complete 125 % load test on Eilbeck Cranes’ site, prior to dispatch.

  • SS316 Control panel with internal cooling and weather covers
  • Rope final travel limit switches
  • Rope Drum rotary limit switch and visual display of rope pay out distance
  • High speed thruster disc brake with SS316 guarding
  • Top and bottom special sheave blocks
  • 360 micron paint specification
