Counterweight Winches

Gravity Take-up Winch

A Winch is applied instead of crane to lift up the counterweight block to relief the belt tension for maintenance procedures. Usually, the Winch is placed close to the counterbalance tower. The rope is connected to the counterbalance block by a hook connected directly to the rope or through a set of pulleys.

Belt Conveyors

A Belt conveyors an arrangement of mechanical components that supports and propels a conveyor belt, which in turn carries bulk material. Used wherever it is necessary to handle bulk material through conveyors.

Belt conveyors are present in many application sectors as:

  • mining plants
  • port installation
  • sugarcane plants
  • cement plants

The transmission of the motion from the prime mover to the belt is by friction between a drum connected to the motor and the belt itself. A Take-up device provides the means to maintain the proper tension on and to adjust the length of the belt to compensate for stretch ensuring the continuity of transmission.

Modulating Winches

Automatic take-up winch can be considered as the flexible application due to the easy installation and easy handling as the winch operates without take-up tower

Take-up Winches

Gravity take-up winch normally operates to lift up the counterweight to relief the belt tension for maintenance or lower counterweight down for maintenance

Hydraulic Winches

Hydraulic winches perform in the harsh environments often encountered in mining applications. And these winches with safety features such as automatic brake, emergency stop button, Pawl brake, drum locking system, and over travel prevention system will provide maximum protection.

Open Winches

Designed for lifting heavy loads, equipment lifting, these electric winches feature modular design with the purpose of meeting the specific demands of the customer

Luffing Winches

Luffing Winches are designed for use on a boom to be lifted and lowered. The winches are designed with high speed brake on motor and low speed brake on drum for emergency and fail-safe conditions. In addition, Eilbeck Cranes provides drum locking unit for extra safety during maintenance operation.

Capstan Winches

Designed and manufactured for operation between take up trolleys and counterweights of mine long wall product transfer conveyors.
